Cecilia grew up in Houston, Texas. Prior to the practice of law, Cecilia honorably served in the US Army as a Combat Medic and Paratrooper with the 82nd Airborne Division, in Ft. Bragg, NC. Cecilia is a decorated Veteran of a Foreign War having served overseas during Operation Iraqi Freedom.
After military service, Cecilia obtained her law degree from Campbell University Law School where she served as President of the Military Law Student Association, Vice-President of the Hispanic Law Student Association, and recipient of The Most Outstanding Advocate Award.
Cecilia's area of practice is Criminal Defense in both adult and juvenile cases. She has experience in the State's District and Superior Courts. She is also admitted to practice in the Eastern District Federal Courts.
Cecilia is the owner and managing partner of Dram Tree Law with offices located in both New Hanover and Cumberland County. She is also an appointed member of the New Hanover County Juvenile Crime Prevention Council.
When out of the office she enjoys quality time with her daughter, reading all the books, and is a certified Yoga Instructor.
